Party officials in Bauchi State pointed to the momentum around Usman Adamu Sufi's campaign following the high-profile commissioning of the Assufiyya ICT Centre in Azare, arguing that the goodwill generated by the project was translating into visible support on the ground. With nineteen contestants in total lining up for the 2027 Bauchi governorship race, PDP leaders described Sufi as the candidate best positioned to unseat the incumbent administration, citing his record of community investment alongside his commitments on education, healthcare and job creation. The party said it would intensify ward-level mobilisation in the months ahead as the 2027 race drew nearer.
