PDP Blames Tinubu Government for Rising School Abductions Nationwide
The PDP renewed its criticism of the Tinubu administration's security record following the killing of an abducted teacher in Oyo State, accusing the federal government of turning Nigerian schools into what it called killing fields. The party said the incident was part of a wider pattern of school abductions that has left parents afraid to send children to class in several parts of the country, and argued that the government's response has consistently lagged behind the scale of the threat. Rights groups have separately documented thousands of kidnapping incidents nationwide in the past year, with the Northwest region accounting for the majority of reported cases.
